Tecsidel has developed a system of detection and queue management toanticipate and automatically detect situations of traffic congestion in real timeand report the location and intensity of operation of the motorway.
The solution features a web tool that allows reacting quickly to situations congestion in the toll and peripheral areas, in order to improve the quality of the service. It usespre-set intervention protocols according to the alarm levelas: increase the number of active lanes, change the mode of operation, reversibility of lanes, etc.
It also provides a mathematic model of the behavior of the traffic on the toll area and determines timeout according to schedule and daily traffic forecasts. To do so, it manages a database of historical with yieouts and queue lengths and establishes related quality indices. The information generated can be accessed by authorized staff from any terminal connected to the network.
