Again this year, Tecsidel Logistics Systems will be present at Logistics 2015, the fair, oriented exclusively to the professional public, concentrated in  storage, maintenance and logistics systems.

The fair will be held in the Pavilion number 4 of IFEMA Madrid during days 18-19 November, being open to the public from 9:00 to 18:30

There, at the stand D12, we will present our intra-logistics solutions aimed at the optimization of operations and stocks, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, reducing operational costs and improving the quality of service of our clients.

Tecsidel will attend the 12th International Exhibition of Equipment, Technology and Logistics Solutions, Information Flow and Supply Chain, considered one of the most important events in Latin America in innovation and new technologies in the world of logistics and more specifically in terms of movement of goods and automatic data capture.

One of our strategic objectives is international expansion. Therefore, from Tecsidel we increase our production capacity with new additions commercially to our office in Chile. Recently Mr. Alberto Sanz del Valle-Inclán has joined Tecsidel as Commercial Director for the branch office of the company in Santiago de Chile. Mr. Sanz, Engineer in Computer Science from the UPSA (www.upsa.es), developed his long career in the areas of information technology, project management, and business management in various business sectors, both in Spain and Chile, where he lives since 2010.

His incorporation is part of theof the enhancement plan that Tecsidel is carrying out  to promote its IT solutions for logistic optimization, Toll & ITS systems and information technologies among  Chilean firms.

The October 10^th, the Logistics Systems line of Tecsidel attended the 22^nd National Meeting of Logistics Business which was held in the autonomous city of Buenos Aires (Argentina) under the slogan: "Present and future of Logistics and Supply Chain".

The event, organized by the Argentina Association of Logistics Business, tried to establish some guidelines that will set the trends of logistics sector in relation to a macroeconomic environment. However, at all times the business was addressed from a pragmatic perspective focused to solve today's problems. Thus, the following topics on the table were:

• "Global and Argentinean situation and economic perspective."


• "Efficiency in logistic operations, its contribution to competitiveness".


• Presenting the Future - "Logistics 2050. A protectionist world".


• Supermarkets TATA - Uruguay / "The importance of aligning logistics strategy with the business ".


• "The logistic solution for e-commerce".

Tecsidel Argentina wishes to highlight the illusion and the gratitude of the entire team as per count with a Conference of our supermarkets TATA customer, where his Logistics Manager of Horacio Lorenzo, made an excellent presentation of the case of success of our SEGA WMS software implementation in its distribution center located in Montevideo (Uruguay).

Last March,Green Logistic, Chilean logistics operator specialized in dangerous loads and Retail, started the activity of its new Logistics Center of Lampa (región Metropolitana de Santiago / Chile), specifically designed for the fulfilment of the Decree DS78 concerning the storage and distribution of hazardous materials.

In this first phasethe new facilities of 20.000 m² (including warehouses and service areas) add a capacity of 10,000 pallets, contemplating a growth for installations up to 100,000 m². More than 50 customers store dangerous and flammable substances in wineries specifically built to accommodate these categories of product in accordance with the demanding Chilean rules in this Center. The operator also runs at the same venue general load holds for Retail-focused operations. The Center has specialized areas for value added services, such as thermolaminated, labeled or armored kits, etc.

To manage optimally its new Center,Green Logistic has selected the Tecsidel SEGA WMS system, based on the technical characteristics of the product, which includes specific features for logistics operators and the management of dangerous materials.In this selection it was also evaluated experience, in which Tecsidel offers an extensive curriculum in major facilities at international level, with the presence of more than 15 years in the implementation and direct support of its solutions in Latin America and nearly 35 years in Europe.

According to Felipe Alvarez, Manager of Green Logistic, "SEGA WMS helps us to manage our logistics process simultaneously obtaining efficiency, adherence to standards, excellent traceability and visibility of products and operations, and control of productivity of the staff, with implications for the quality of service we provide to our customers".

JUMBO RETAIL, Cencosud Group Company, implants in their distribution centers of Argentina the solution of picking by voice through the use of fully integrated Vocollect terminals with its WMS, owned by Tecsidel.

Cencosud is a company specialized in the development, marketing and administration of large shopping centers. Cencosud is considered one of the leading companies in the retail market and has a presence in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Brazil and Colombia in the businesses of supermarkets, hypermarkets, stores to improve home and construction, shopping centers, family entertainment and real estate operations.

Jumbo has 3 distribution centers in Argentina:

• Buenos Aires, with about 55,000 square meters covered.


• Mendoza, with about 40,000 square meters covered.


• Cordoba, with about 32,000 square meters covered.

The project includes the use of 67 T5 teams in the distribution center of Buenos Aires, 65 in Mendoza and 35 in Cordoba. Their solution consists of the use of Vocollect T5 terminals, which we are partners with, to perform in this first instance, the picking orders in a more efficient way. T5 terminals are directly managed by the WMS that manages the operations of the distribution centers of Jumbo Retail in Argentina, which is Tecsidel’s property.

In the short term, it is expected to implement the voice picking solution in distribution center that Cencosud Group has in the trans-Andean country of Chile, which manages the Santa Isabel, Las Brisas and Jumbo operations.

TSU Cosméticos, located in Buenos Aires, is an Argentinena brand with 35 years in the market and leader among the companies of direct selling. Through direct sale service, they got to form a wide network of resellers that covers the national territory and continues to grow every day, with a potential of 4 million customers. At the same time, since 1997, TSU has a presence in Uruguay.

In their quest for excellence, TSU invests in technology and scientific research, in the context of a world in constant evolution. This is the fundamental reason why TSU has decided to select as its business partner Tecsidel and implement SEGA PTL and Pick to Light technology to prepare in a more productive way the customers’ orders.

TSU plant is located in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It counts with 39 picking stations aimed at low and high rotation products, which were equipped with the technology of Pick to Light and SEGA PTL, owned by Tecsidel.Thus, TSU manages more than 2,600 positions with articles by luminous devices, allowing operators to prepare orders without papers or sheets of preparation, but through luminous signs that guide them to the correct locations, showing the exact amounts of units to pick up.

Lights technology will be used to perform picking operation (Pick to Light) with products of average and high rotation, classification (Put to Light), inventory controls, mounting processes.

By incorporating this technology, TSU has managed to increase its productivity by more than 40%, lowing a 50% the errors that were caused to make preparation using pencil and paper.
