MPE is the abbreviation corresponding to the web platform of Management of Electronic Payments, which manages the communication between the highway payment service providers (concessionaire) and the end customers (highway users).
It is a system that enables the management of electronic payment devices (TAGs), associated with user accounts. This process comprises 3 parts:
- . The Operator creates an account and assigns a TAG to each customer vehicle.
- . The Customer tops up the desired balance.
- . The system of the Concessionaires records transactions, updates balances and generates transit billing.
The main advantages of the Manager of Electronic Payments are that customers can use the same TAG and account at all the integrated concessionaires. Furthermore, they can also register more than one vehicle (both personal and company car) and they can use the pre-payment or post-payment modality and the manual or electronic payment.
