On Tuesday 5th of September at 10am, Mollerussa will host the most prominent institutions and companies in the urban mobility field to present the pilot project of STREET FLOW.

STREET FLOW is an experimental project of smart mobility that Tecsidel has performed with funding granted by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), which belongs to the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness of Spain. It consists of a system installed on a single gantry that analyses the composition of vehicles that pass by, in order to classify and measure the vehicles, one by one.

The expected event will count on the participation of Mr. Marc Solsona, Mayor of Mollerussa, and Mr. Jordi Puigneró, Secretary of Telecommunications, Cyber-security and Digital Society of Catalonia. On the other hand, Tecsidel and i2cat will make various presentations to talk about STREET FLOW project, the connected vehicle and the mobility in the future. The attendees will be able to know in detail the operation of the system and the current data extracted by it. The event will end with the visit to the installation of the single gantry.

Attendees must confirm the assistance sending an email to streetflow@tecsidel.es

Tecsidel will renew the toll system of 2 Spanish highways

Last April, Tecsidel was awarded two projects for the toll system renewal of two Spanish highways. One contract was signed with the concessionaire Accesos de Madrid CESA for the R3 and R5 radial highways (104 lanes and 8 plazas), the second refers to the Alicante Beltway (41 lanes and 4 plazas) and was signed with the concessionaire Ciralsa SACE.

In both cases, Tecsidel will supply, install and commission its toll collection system, Tecsidel Toll+, which operates at 4 levels: lane, plaza, central system and web for road users. The latter allows users to check transactions and invoicing online. All levels are connected through a communications network. The control system, which is easy to learn, can support multiple concessionaires.

The solution for Accesos de Madrid also includes the management of automatic payment machines – ATPM. Tecsidel's terminals are flexible and ergonomic, and support various tolling functions: fare collection (with cash, bank cards, contactless cards or barcoded tickets accepted), ticket issuance and access point. The new terminals include a voice synthesizer, LED indicators and buttons to optimize user interaction and speed up operations.

Tecsidel plans to finalize both projects in March 2018.

Tecsidel is awarded 2 projects in Mexico

Last May, Tecsidel and Mota Engil México S.A.P.I. Of C.V., signed the contract for two projects in Mexico. These projects consist of the supply, installation and commissioning of the Tecsidel Toll Management System for the Cardel - Poza Rica and Tuxpan - Tampico highways.

Both concessions will be provided with an open and conventional toll system for 2 plazas and 16 lanes (8 multimodal lanes and 4 reversible multimodal lanes) on each one of the highways. The accepted payment means will be: cash, bank cards, proximity contactless cards, and transponders (AVI).

The system integrates three operational levels: lane, plaza and central system. The project includes Tecsidel's Back Office application, which allows collecting and processing all data of the toll plazas to obtain an absolute control of collection, possible fraud, reports and information exchange with other external systems. This solution is safe, efficient and very intuitive.

The installation of both projects will be carried out in two phases, the first starting in November 2017, the second in mid 2018.

SEGA PTV, the voice system that makes the orders preparation more powerful

SEGA PTV (Voice Picking) is Tecsidel solution for the execution of material moving operations that uses voice communication with the operator for guidance. In the context of warehouses and distribution centers, the cost of operational errors is very high, and badly prepared orders can result in sales decrease, generate administrative work, and reduce trust in stocks. They occur because of various reasons, most notably traditional paper orders preparation generates plenty of errors, due to misreading of quantities, misplacements because there is no validation, late administrative update of incidents, etc.

SEGA PTV, the state-of-the-art system of voice-guided operations, communicates verbal instructions to the operator, allowing him/her to manipulate the products with the maximum productivity and efficiency, and the operator confirms its realization through his/her own voice. Furthermore, the solution leaves the operator's eyes and hands free and therefore increases safety in each execution, and that avoids distractions or interruptions while the person moves or manipulates the products.

The possible applications of SEGA PTV are:

  • Voice picking of cases, batches or pieces. The 90% of companies are interested in this. It can be mono-order, multi-order or clustered, and allows giving support to the orders preparation for e-commerce.

  • Cross docking with deliveries (Put To Store)

  • Orders Classification

  • Carousel Line Loading

  • Trucks Loading

  • Goods receiving

  • Pallet movements

  • Stocking and replenishment

  • Audit and Quality control

One example of environment where this system is suitable are warehouses of fresh and frozen food, because the operators work with gloves and it is difficult to operate devices.

Tecsidel's partner, Lydia Voice Solution, is a market-leading German voice solutions manufacturer. The company has more than 15 years of experience, and with the robust equipment its solutions enhances a 20% of productivity in a wide variety of operating environments and reduces the error rate until a 55%.

Its hardware also works on the main mobile devices and supports portable printing. The technology of this equipment allows the automatic adaptation to the user’s voice and pronunciation, and integrated telephony. In addition, Lydia Voice Solution launched the comfortable ergonomic VoiceWear vest that allows getting rid of the headphones cables (https://www.topsystem.de/en/voicewear-en.html).

The main benefits of this comprehensive SEGA PTV are obvious:

  • Increased productivity compared to working with paper and RF terminals

  • Optimum operations efficiency and quality

  • Enhanced safety for the operator

  • Combination of different communication and data acquisition technologies

  • Easy to learn

  • It enables operations monitoring and traceability of managed products

  • Full integration with the company ERP and WMS

Tecsidel starts another SEGA PTL implementation in Spain

Tecsidel SEGA PTL (Pick To Light / Put To Light) has been the most demanded solution by customers in the last months. It is the most productive light-guided operations system for the classification of units or packages.

The implementation project will be carried out for the company DSV, in one of its platforms located in the centre area of Guadalajara (Spain). DSV is a logistics operatorand on this occasion, the recipient of SEGA PTL is a company in the textile industry, for which it provides logistics services such as order preparation for its stores, among others.

In order to increase productivity in store order preparation, DSV wants to optimize its product delivery infrastructure with devices based on Put To Light (PTL) technology. Hence it is possible to minimize the operational cost of the preparation while the quality of service increases.
